About This Spot

Stepping into 21 Sushi House in Calimesa immediately offers a sense of easygoing familiarity—a place where the rhythms of daily life slow just enough to appreciate the delicate art of sushi-making. The restaurant balances a casual, welcoming vibe with a quiet buzz coming from the open kitchen and the steady flow of eager diners. It’s the kind of spot where locals return not only for a meal but for a moment to connect, whether with friends, family, or simply their own well-earned downtime.

The atmosphere strikes a comfortable middle ground between a neighborhood gathering spot and a refined, approachable dining experience. Soft conversations blend with the gentle clinks of dishes and the occasional laughter, creating an environment that feels both lively and inviting without rushing its guests. Service here is attentive while maintaining that laid-back warmth, making it easy to settle in and savor the meal at your own pace.

21 Sushi House embraces the joy of exploration on the plate. Their menu invites you to navigate familiar flavors with unexpected twists—the subtle spiciness of the Hot Cheetos Roll or the satisfying layers found in rolls wrapped in rice paper instead of seaweed. For those who enjoy sharing, the all-you-can-eat option captures the spirit of a communal dining experience, encouraging a leisurely pace of tasting and conversation. Warm bowls of miso soup and thoughtfully prepared appetizers quietly round out the experience, grounding the meal in homely comfort.

What stands out here is the thoughtful attention to variety and freshness, with each dish crafted to balance texture and flavor. Whether it’s the crisp snap of a salmon skin hand roll or the gentle sweetness found in a bento box pairing, every bite feels considered and inviting. This is a place that reflects care—not just in the kitchen, but in how it welcomes each guest through its atmosphere and subtle hospitality.

For both those discovering sushi or longtime fans of the cuisine, 21 Sushi House presents a dependable spot where the genuine moments of dining—sharing, savoring, enjoying each other’s company—take center stage. It’s a quiet little gem on Myrtlewood Drive, where the food feels like a friendly conversation and the vibe encourages you to slow down and simply be present.

Amazing!! This is definitely a 5 Star sushi restaurant! All the food my wife and I ordered was delicious! Service was excellent for busy peak time (Friday 7pm). Server was attentive and really nice. I recommend this place without a doubt! If you don’t like the seaweed in the sushi rolls you can order it in rice paper or soy for an extra $1.

Great service. Friendly, attentive staff and great decor. Sushi is good and decent priced with rolls ranging from $10-$15. Everybody got something different and enjoyed their food. I got the crunch roll and I just wish it had more eel sauce. A great place for a casual meal or special occasion. A hidden gem.

Really good sushi house, the fish was fresh and delicious. The servers were not very attentive, but not so much so that it made it a bad experience. Just maybe if they had more clearly defined roles. Like this person was getting the drinks, this person picked up your order, etc. We kept having people come to the table and ask the same thing as someone else just asked. But in my opinion that isnt always a bad thing.

I discovered this restaurant a couple years ago and it has been my go-to sushi spot for ayce. This place is typically always packed during their lunch and dinner rush. But, if you managed to time your arrival to be right when they open in the morning or came back from their lunch break, you may be greeted to a no wait welcome. I recently tried out their new location in Yucaipa and was quite disappointed so I had to come back to my comfort spot at the Calimesa location. This spot has consistently proven that the original location is always better, not only is their food quality higher, their service is noticeably better. My dad and I decided to order al la carte for once since we weren’t extremely hungry but usually the ayce is about $35 per person. Personally, I’ve been enjoying their new menu items such as the TNT and SOS roll, both because they are deep fried in tempura batter and because the flavors are well balanced. We also ordered the American Dream which is a mix between a Californian roll and a Dragon roll, both my dad’s favorite and the 9 pc assorted sashimi. All the rolls were delicious and the portions were worth the price, the sashimi cuts were large and fresh. I always enjoy my visit to this restaurant and will continue to come back.

Great selection for all you can eat for okay price. Not a fan of their rule with only 2 rolls per person per round. Also wish they had a deal like Sushi Okoku and Taiyos Sushi, two popular spots in Riverside, where rolls are 50% off when you order to go as they would probably get a lot more business if they did. Overall good spot with great quality and service.

Novice Sushi adventurer - ordered the all-you-can-eat $35 and enjoyed the variety. Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. We will be back.
